The young generation is an asset to us, and we from Sikkim Birds took the chance to train five trainees from the East Pendam ecotourism zone. The motto of this event is to develop the skills of the human resource appointed as 
a guide for the East Pendam ecotourism zone.

Venue and Timeline:
The process of grooming trainees about birds and wildlife was conducted by Sikkim Birds. During an existing ongoing tour, Dibyendu Ash trained the resources for birding and bird watching. The livelihood of the trainees would be benefited if such activities can be done frequently. For this event, Sikkim BIrds has chosen 27th March 2017 to 30th March 2017 as a 4-day long program.
"Khangchendzonga National Park" has recently been declared a world heritage site in 2016 and based on that Sikkim Birds and Limboo Homestay (of Yuksom) provided the entire expedition for four days.

• 27th April 2017: Pick up from Melli at 12 PM. Birding and driving on the way to Jorethang. Lunch at Jorethang. Birding at Tashiding and Legship. Post-afternoon birding check-in at the homestay at Yuksom at 7 PM. Discussion on bird sightings for the day with high tea. Dinner at 8:30 PM. Overnight at Limboo Homestay. (L,S,D)
• 28th April 2017: Day visit for birding at the Khangchendzonga trail till Paha Khola with packed breakfast. Return back to home stay and lunch. Post lunch we move out of the homestay for afternoon birding to Labdang in (Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve). Return back to homestay at 7 PM. Discussion on bird sightings for the day with high tea. Dinner at 8:30 PM. Overnight at Limboo Homestay. (L,S,D)
• 29th April 2017: Morning birding to Kecheopelri Lake with packed breakfast. Lunch and afternoon birding at Darap. Return back to homestay at 7 PM. Discussion on bird sightings for the day with high tea. Dinner at 8:30 PM. Overnight at Limboo Homestay. (L,S,D)
• 30th April 2017: Morning birding at the birding trail of the oldest monastery in Sikkim – Dubdee Monastery with packed breakfast. Lunch at home stay at 11 AM. Post lunch we check out from homestay at 12 PM. Drive to Melli and the tour ends at 4 PM. (B,L)
