BCI (Bird Count India) and BWS (Birdwatchers’ Society) promote bird watching and bird monitoring across India, with an aim to spread the joy of bird watching and collectively understand our birds better through citizen science. They hold workshops in different parts of the country, where they discuss the merits of bird monitoring and introduce sustainable methods, online tools, and community-oriented programs that can help best document birds.
In this first program of the state, prominent bird watchers, bird-watching guides, school and college students, and other bird-watching enthusiasts were invited.
